Senator BRIGHT proposed the following amendment (4447R001.LB):
    Amend the Concurrent resolution, as and if amended, page 1 by striking the title and inserting:
/     TO REQUEST THAT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE BRIDGE THAT CROSSES THE MIDDLE TYGER RIVER ALONG SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 296 IN SPARTANBURG COUNTY "U.S. ARMY CAPTAIN JOHN DAVID HORTMAN BRIDGE" AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS AT THIS BRIDGE THAT CONTAIN THE WORDS "U.S. ARMY CAPTAIN JOHN DAVID HORTMAN BRIDGE"./

    Amend the Concurrent resolution further, as and if amended, page 1 by striking lines 9-14 and inserting:
/     That the members of the General Assembly request that the Department of Transportation name the bridge that crosses the Middle Tyger River along South Carolina Highway 296 in Spartanburg County "U.S. Army Captain John David Hortman Bridge" and erect appropriate markers or signs at this bridge that contain the words "U.S. Army Captain John David Hortman Bridge"./

    Renumber sections to conform.
    Amend title to conform.
