Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:
/ SECTION 1. Section 15-78-60 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding an appropriately number item at the end to read:
"(_) an operator or driver of an Emergency Medical Vehicle as defined by Section 56-5-170(A)(3), while operating or driving the Emergency Medical Vehicle in providing emergency services, unless the vehicle is operated or driven in a grossly negligent manner."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect July 1, 2013, and applies to all actions filed on or after this date. /
