Rep. GOLDFINCH proposes the following Amendment No. 1 to S. 559 (COUNCIL\DKA\559C001.DKA.SD13):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking SECTION 1 in its entirety and inserting:

/ SECTION      1.      Section 50-5-1705(F) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

     "(F)      Except as otherwise provided, it is unlawful for a person to take or possess more than twenty flounder (Paralichthys species) taken by means of gig, spear, hook and line, or similar device in any one day of which only fifteen may be southern flounder (Paralichthys lethostigma), not to exceed forty flounder (Paralichthys species) in any one day on any boat of which only thirty may be southern flounder (Paralichthys lethostigma)." /
