EXPLANATION: waive the one year residency requirement for veterans to receive in-state tuition at state instutitons of higher education.
Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL
PROVISIONS, page 514, after line 2, by adding an appropriately
numbered paragraph to read:
/ (GP: Veterans Tuition Entitlement) A veteran of the
Armed Services of the United States, who has evidenced intent to
establish domicile in South Carolina and their dependents, are
entitled to receive in-state tuition and fees at state
institutions without the requirement of one year of physical
presence in this State./
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
