Rep. DANING proposes the following Amendment No. 21 to H.4701 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: Allows a student to immediately participate in a sport if they transfered from one school district to another in order to play a sport the original school district does not offer

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 1, DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, page 359, after line 2, by adding an appropriately numbered paragraph to read:
/ (SDE: Sports Participation) A student who transfers from one school district to another school district in order to participate in a sport that is not offered in the original school district shall not be required to refrain from participating in the sport for one year as currently required by the South Carolina High School League. /

Renumber sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
