EXPLANATION: Increase nursing home bed days
Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 33,
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES, page 409, after line
10, by adding an appropriately numbered paragraph to read:
/ During the current fiscal year, the department of health
and human services must increase funding for nursing home bed
days by 5%. Funding for this increase must be derived from the
department of health and human services' recurring carry-forward
funds. The department must notify the department of health and
environmental control of this increase, and the department of
health and environment control is authorized to increase the
number of Medicaid nursing home bed days to account for this
increase in funding by the department of health and human
services. /
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
