Rep. PUTNAM proposes the following Amendment No. 69 to H.3720 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION:

Amend the bill, as and if amended, page 509, line 3, by adding the following new paragraphs immediately following line 3:

/            Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the authority to pay the recurring expenses of state government continues at the level of amounts appropriated in this act for the recurring expenses of state government for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, except as provided below.
     The expiration dates of Parts IA and IB of this act are extended until June 30, 2019, unless and until amended by the General Assembly by law. Appropriations made for Fiscal Year 2018-2019, as provided herein are considered to have been made pursuant to the general appropriations act for Fiscal Year 2017-2018.

PART IC of this act relating to nonrecurring appropriations takes effect July 1, 2017, and expires on June 30, 2018.

     Notwithstanding debt service appropriations in this act, there is appropriated from the general fund of the State for Fiscal Year 2018-2019 whatever amount is necessary for timely debt service on state obligations and other amounts constitutionally required to be appropriated, including the Capital Reserve Find. The General Reserve Fund is established in the amount required by Law. /
