Rep. MAGNUSON proposes the following Amendment No. 3 to H.4951 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: delete funds provided to higher ed institutions and redirect to provide a one-time bonus to certified teachers

Amend the joint resolution, as and if amended, Section 1, page 2, lines 15-43, and page 3, lines 1-39, by striking the lines in their entirety.

Amend the Joint Resolution further, as and if amended, Section 1, page 4, after line 42, by adding an appropriately numbered item to read:

/( ) H630 - Department of Education
           Certified Teacher Bonus      $49,736,282/

Amend the Joint Resolution further, as and if amended, page 5, line 1, by adding an appropriately numbered Section to read:

/SECTION . The Department of Education is directed to utilize the $49,736,282 appropriated above for Certified Teacher Bonus to provide all certified teachers with a one-time bonus based on a pro rata share of the funds./

Renumber items and sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
