Amend the bill, as and if amended, page 5, by adding an appropriately numbered new item to Section 48-39-280(A) to read:
/ ( ) Notwithstanding the requirements of subsection (A)(1) through (3), for any property that is revetted or protected with an erosion control device existing on July 1, 1988, the baseline is established at the landward edge of the erosion control device, and the setback line is established twenty feet landward of the baseline. The department may issue a permit to an applicant to rebuild an erosion control device if fifty percent or more of a revetted erosion control device is destroyed due to the impact of a storm system or event named by the National Weather Service. /
