A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 44-56-215 so as to provide for the maximum amount of hazardous waste a landfill may accept, to reduce this maximum amount by ten percent a year over a five-year period, and to require generators of hazardous waste to reduce the amount of waste they dispose of in this State by ten percent a year over a five-year period; and to amend the 1976 Code by adding Section 44-56-225 so as to provide that waste of whatever type generated in another state may not be transported into this State for disposal unless that state accepts the same type of waste generated in South Carolina for disposal in that state.
