A Bill to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 38-71-775 so as to provide special insurance continuation privileges for employees who have retired, are fifty-five years of age or over, and have participated in a group policy for ten years or for the life of a group plan within a company, to provide an enrollment period for a retiree to exercise the above privileges, to provide for renewed coverage after a group plan is discontinued and a new plan is instituted under certain conditions, to make it a misdemeanor to commit certain violations and a felony to commit the violations for a second or subsequent time, and to add this felony to the list of crimes classified as felonies by Section 16-1-10.
