    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 59-1-420, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE STATUTORY SCHOOL TERM OF ONE HUNDRED NINETY DAYS ANNUALLY WITH ADDITIONAL DAYS BEING ADDED BEGINNING WITH SCHOOL YEAR 2001-2002 SUBJECT TO FUNDING BEING PROVIDED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, SO AS TO REVISE THE PURPOSES FOR WHICH CERTAIN NONINSTRUCTIONAL DAYS MUST BE USED AND TO DELETE THE ADDITION OF EXTRA DAYS TO THE STATUTORY SCHOOL TERM BEGINNING WITH SCHOOL YEAR 2001-2002 SUBJECT TO FUNDING BEING PROVIDED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
