    AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 30-5-10, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE DUTIES OF THE REGISTER OF DEEDS, SO AS TO ADD CHEROKEE COUNTY TO THOSE COUNTIES EXEMPT FROM THE REQUIREMENT THAT THOSE DUTIES BE PERFORMED BY THE CLERK OF COURT; AND TO AMEND SECTION 30-5-12, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF THE REGISTER OF DEEDS FOR CERTAIN COUNTIES, SO AS TO ADD CHEROKEE COUNTY TO THOSE COUNTIES WHERE THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE COUNTY SHALL APPOINT THE REGISTER OF DEEDS. - ratified title
