Summary: Criminal sexual conduct with a minor
    A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 16-3-652, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO CRIMINAL SEXUAL CONDUCT IN THE FIRST DEGREE, SO AS TO INCREASE THE PENALTY FOR A FIRST OFFENSE OF A VIOLATION OF SECTION 16-3-655, CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE FIRST DEGREE WITH A MINOR UNDER THE AGE OF TWELVE, TO TWENTY-FIVE YEARS IMPRISONMENT, NO PART OF WHICH MAY BE SUSPENDED OR PROBATION GRANTED, OR IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE, AND TO INCREASE THE PENALTY FOR A SECOND OFFENSE OF SECTION 16-3-655, CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT IN THE FIRST DEGREE WITH A MINOR UNDER THE AGE OF TWELVE, TO DEATH OR IMPRISONMENT FOR LIFE, AND TO INCLUDE STATUTORY AGGRAVATING AND MITIGATING FACTORS TO CONSIDER IN DETERMINING WHAT SENTENCE TO IMPOSE.
