AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE MILLAGE TO BE LEVIED IN MARION COUNTY FOR SCHOOL PURPOSES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1980, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1981.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
Millage for school purposes levied in Marion County
Section 1. There is hereby levied in Marion County for school purposes for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1980, and ending June 30, 1981, the following millage:
Marion District No. 1:
Countywide millage for all schools 89
County Board 11
Marion-Mullins Vocational School 13

Mullins District No. 2:
Countywide mill age for all schools 89
County Board 11

Lower Marion District No. 3:
Countywide mill age for all schools 89

Revenue collected by treasurer
Section 2. The revenue shall be collected by the treasurer, after which he shall notify the clerk of the county board of education of the amount collected each month, and the clerk shall apportion the money according to a plan designed by the county board in its phase-out of the county equalization program to accommodate the phase-in of the South Carolina Education Finance Act of 1977, in an effort to insure equal distribution of funds to the students throughout the county in all four school districts.
Time effective
Section 3. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
