AN ACT TO REVISE THE AREAS IN WHICH AT LEAST ONE MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF OCONEE COUNTY MUST RESIDE BEGINNING WITH THE 1985 ELECTIONS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina;

Election districts

SECTION 1. Beginning with the 1985 elections, the areas in which at least one member of the Board of Trustees of the School District of Oconee County shall reside are the five single-member election districts from which members of the governing body of Oconee County are elected, and all members shall continue to be elected by the qualified electors of the county at large.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
