The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O God Who rules the world in splendor yet Who hears the prayers of all Your children, be with us in all Your unlimited strength and renewing power. Make wise our minds, nourish our souls, and refine our thinking. Keep us from impatience, irritability and tempers too quick. Spare us from eyes focused on the faults of others and from tongues tuned to criticism. Lead us through all confusion, ambiguity and uncertainty into the light of Your truth. And when evening is come may we rest in that peace that inevitably comes in the knowledge of work well done.

We pray in the Name of our Saviour Lord. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of Thursday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 12:30 P.M. the House in accordance with S. 1376 (Sine Die Adjournment Resolution) adjourned to meet at 10:00 A.M. tomorrow.
