The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

Eternal Father, Who has wonderfully made us and unceasingly sustained us along life's way, show us more clearly how to be good stewards of Your never failing blessings. May the things seen and touched be guided and upheld by the unseen and the eternal. Shape our lives becoming of Your children. As we pray together, may we bear one another's burdens. Make us strong in Your Truth that we may come to eventide undefeated by temptation and with work well done - at peace with our fellowbeings and at peace with our God.

In Your holy Name we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
