The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.
Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:
Eternal God, our Father, we commend all our doings to Your loving care for You love us with an everlasting love. With Your never ending strength come into our hearts that together we may work for the highest good of this great State and Nation. Write Your law on our minds and inscribe Your understanding into our hearts that we may be loyal to You, true to those who trust us, faithful in our daily duties, and open to the needs of those we serve. Grant us the will to do Your will and the wisdom to walk in the ways that fail not our God or our fellowmen.
We pray in the Name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
