The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

O gracious God, we pause in this quiet moment of Prayer to recognize You as the Source of our strength and the Sustainer of our lives. Thanks be to You for all Your goodnesses to us, for the heritage that our forefathers have bequeathed to us, and for our hope for a better day to come. Throughout this day help us to be faithful to our duties, fair in our dealings, and true to the teachings of Your Word. Grant us the vision to see and the determination to do Your will. So abide with us that we swerve not from the path You would have us to go. With patience and perseverance may we labor together for the highest good and to the benefit of all mankind.

In our Saviour's Name we pray. Amen.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.
