AN ACT TO AMEND ACT 67 OF 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO THE SOUTH GREENVILLE AREA FIRE DISTRICT IN GREENVILLE COUNTY, SO AS TO RAISE THE DEBT LIMIT OF THE FIRE DISTRICT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Debt limit raised

SECTION 1. Item (h) of Section 5 of Act 67 of 1965 is amended to read:

"(h) To borrow not exceeding five hundred thousand dollars on such terms and for such a period as to the fire control board may deem most beneficial for the fire district in anticipation of taxes. The indebtedness shall be evidenced by a note issued by the members of the board and the county treasurer. The full faith, credit, and taxing power of the South Greenville Area Fire District is hereby irrevocably pledged for the payment of the indebtedness."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
