The House assembled at 10:00 A.M.

Deliberations were opened with prayer by the Chaplain of the House of Representatives, the Rev. Dr. Alton C. Clark as follows:

Eternal God our Father, Whose blessings are inexhaustible and Whose truths endure forever, give us the determined desire and the sure will to follow Your beckoning. May the constancy of Your presence renew our strength, restore our faith, reinforce our energies, and lead us into the paths of righteousness. Grant unto us wisdom and courage. Help us realize our dependence upon You and our constant need of Your guidance which make us ready for every task and equal to every challenge. Amid all the problems that surround us, may Your patience make us patient, Your forgiveness make us forgiving, Your love make us loving.

We pray in the Name of Jesus Who makes life good and great.

After corrections to the Journal of the proceedings of yesterday, the SPEAKER ordered it confirmed.

At 10:10 A.M. the House in accordance with the ruling of the SPEAKER adjourned to meet at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, February 13.
