A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

EXTENDING THE SINCERE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY TO THE FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS OF THE LATE CURTIS THOMAS WYCKOFF.

Whereas, it was with real sorrow that the members of the General Assembly learned of the death of Curtis Thomas Wyckoff on January 30, 1992; and

Whereas, Mr. Wyckoff, vice-president of international and correspondent banking for The Citizens and Southern National Bank of South Carolina was born in Glen Cove, New York, a son of Marjorie Wyckoff Cummings and the late Edward Thomas Wyckoff; and

Whereas, he joined the C & S Bank in 1971 as a management associate and served in several positions in the Spartanburg office of C & S before transferring to Columbia in 1977; and

Whereas, he was a tireless leader of community activities, which included director of the South Carolina Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America, president of the Breakfast Optimist Club of Columbia, chairman of the asset/liability committee for the South Carolina District Export Council, and board member of the University of Virginia Alumni Association and United Health Appeal; and

Whereas, he received a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 1969 and an MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1976; and

Whereas, he was a first lieutenant in the Army from 1969 to 1971 and was awarded the Army Bronze Star; and
