TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 42-7-210 SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR RECORDS OF THE STATE WORKERS' COMPENSATION FUND TO BE SUBJECT TO DISCLOSURE UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT WITH NO EXEMPTIONS AND TO REPEAL SECTION 42-19-40 RELATING TO THE CONFIDENTIALITY OF THE RECORDS OF THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION COMMISSION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 42-7-210. Records of the State Workers' Compensation Fund are subject to disclosure under Chapter 4 of Title 30, the Freedom of Information Act, and are not exempt under Section 30-4-40."
SECTION 2. Section 42-19-40 of the 1976 Code is repealed.
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
