A BILL

TO AMEND ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 13, TITLE 7, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS, BY ADDING SECTION 7-13-185 SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT, WHERE THE PRECINCT INCLUDES MORE THAN ONE SENATE OR HOUSE DISTRICT, THE POLL MANAGER SHALL ESTABLISH A SEPARATE, CLEARLY IDENTIFIABLE LINE FOR VOTING FOR EACH SENATE OR HOUSE DISTRICT CONTAINED WITHIN THE PRECINCT.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Article 1, Chapter 13, Title 7 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 7-13-185. Where a precinct includes more than one Senate or House district, the poll manager shall establish a separate, clearly identifiable line for voting for each Senate or House district contained within the precinct."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
