TO RECOGNIZE MR. BERT RUBANO, OF AIKEN, AS HE LEAVES HIS POSITION ON THE AIKEN TECHNICAL EDUCATION COMMISSION AND TO THANK HIM FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE ON THE COMMISSION.
Whereas, Mr. Bert Rubano, of Aiken, has served on the Aiken Technical Education Commission for twenty years; and
Whereas, during the course of Mr. Rubano's membership on the Aiken Technical Education Commission, he has been a member of the Aiken Technical Commission Foundation which is a private, nonprofit organization that raises funds in the interest of college operations; and
Whereas, in his policy role, he oversaw the majority of the expansion of education programs which led to the largest increase of enrollment that has taken place during his tenure as a commission member; and
Whereas, the members of the Senate wish Mr. Rubano well in his future endeavors. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the members of the Senate recognize Mr. Bert Rubano, of Aiken, as he leaves his position on the Aiken Technical Education Commission and thank him for his years of service on the commission.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Rubano.
