TO AMEND SECTION 57-11-20, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE STATE HIGHWAY FUND, SO AS TO REQUIRE INTEREST EARNED FROM THE FUND TO BE DEPOSITED IN THE FUND.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 57-11-20 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 57-11-20. All revenues and income expendable by the department may be consolidated into one fund to be known as the 'State Highway Fund', and, except as to moneys monies utilized by the State Treasurer for the payment of principal or interest on State state highway bonds as authorized by Section 57-11-250, shall must be paid out upon the authority of the commission, on warrants of the department approved by the Chief Highway Commissioner Executive Director of the Department of Highways and Public Transportation or such those bonded officers or employees as may be designated by the Chief Highway Commissioner executive director, and in the manner, and only for the several purposes, provided by law in respect to such the funds. Interest income from the State Highway Fund must be deposited in the State Highway Fund."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
