A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO AMEND THE RULES OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES BY ADDING RULE 10.10 SO AS TO REQUIRE THE CLERK TO DEVELOP A PLAN FOR RECYCLING.

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the Rules of the House of Representatives are amended by adding:

"10.10 The Clerk shall develop as soon as possible a plan for recycling, to the greatest extent practicable, of paper, aluminum, glass and/or other materials used by the House. Such plan(s) must be approved by the Speaker, and members must be encouraged to participate in the plan. Any funds generated by the sale of materials for recycling must be maintained by the Clerk in a separate account and used to defray any costs of recycling."
