That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass:
COLLETON COUNTY DELEGATION, for Committee.
TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-200, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN COLLETON COUNTY, SO AS TO REDEFINE THE VOTING PRECINCTS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 7-7-200 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"Section 7-7-200. In Colleton County there shall be are the following voting precincts: Ashton; Bells; Berea (the boundaries of Berea precinct are hereby extended to include the area formerly included in Pine Grove precinct); Canady's; Cottageville; Edisto; Green Pond; Hendersonville; Horse Pen; Hudson's Mill; Jacksonboro; Lodge (the boundaries of Lodge precinct are extended to include the area formerly included in Ashton precinct); Maple Cane; Mashawville; Peniel; Peoples; Petits; Rice Patch; Ritter; Round O; Ruffin; Sidney; Smoaks (the boundaries of Smoaks precinct are extended to include the area formerly included in Berea precinct); Sniders (the boundaries of Sniders precinct are extended to include the area formerly included in Petits precinct); Stokes; Walterboro No. 1, Walterboro No. 2; Walterboro No. 3; Walterboro No. 4; Walterboro No. 5; Williams; Edisto Beach; and Wolfe Creek.
The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the clerk of court of the county and also on file with the State Election Commission as provided and maintained by the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
