THE COMMITTEE ON LABOR, COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

To whom was referred a Bill (H. 3644), to amend the Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, by adding Section 61-1-100 so as to require notification to local law enforcement authorities, etc., respectfully

REPORT:

That they have duly and carefully considered the same, and recommend that the same do pass with amendment:

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:

/SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 61-1-100. When a new application for a license is filed with the commission under this title, the commission shall notify the local law enforcement authorities. The authorities shall notify the local legislative delegation."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor./

Amend title to conform.

A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 61-1-100 SO AS TO REQUIRE NOTIFICATION TO LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AUTHORITIES AND THE LOCAL LEGISLATIVE DELEGATION UPON A LICENSE APPLICATION OR RENEWAL TO THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL COMMISSION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 61-1-100. When an application for a license or its renewal is filed with the commission under this title, the commission shall notify the local law enforcement authorities, and they shall notify the local legislative delegation."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
