TO AMEND SECTION 1-11-140, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO AUTHORIZATION OF THE BUDGET AND CONTROL BOARD TO PROVIDE INSURANCE, SO AS TO REQUIRE THAT BENEFITS UNDER THE STATE HEALTH PLAN MUST PAY ONE HUNDRED PERCENT OF THE USUAL AND CUSTOMARY FEE OF HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 1-11-140 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 389 of 1988, is further amended by adding at the end:
"Benefits under the State Health Plan must pay one hundred percent of the usual and customary fee of health care providers."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
