A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 50-17-640, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE HOURS FOR TRAWLING FOR SHRIMP, SO AS TO REDEFINE THE PERIOD IN WHICH A PERSON MAY LAWFULLY TRAWL FOR SHRIMP.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 50-17-640 of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"Section 50-17-640. It is unlawful lawful to trawl for shrimp in the waters of this State between one-half hour after official sunset and one-half hour before official sunrise. only during the following period:

Opening day through

September fifteenth 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.

September sixteenth

through closing date6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
