A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE MR. JERRY R. PRICE OF LEXINGTON WHO IS THE NEW POSTMASTER OF THE LEXINGTON POST OFFICE AND TO WISH HIM WELL IN THIS POSITION.

Whereas, Mr. Jerry R. Price of Lexington is the new postmaster of the Lexington Post Office; and

Whereas, he was superintendent of postal operations at the Cayce-West Columbia Post Office from January, 1988, until March, 1991; and

Whereas, a graduate of Lexington High School, Mr. Price has worked in the postal service in the Columbia area since 1962. He began as a distribution clerk and served as an accounting technician in budget operations, and as manager of budget and cost before moving up to the Cayce-West Columbia Post Office; and

Whereas, the members of the House of Representatives desire to recognize Mr. Price for his many years of dedicated service to his community. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives congratulate Mr. Jerry R. Price of Lexington who is the new Postmaster of the Lexington Post Office and wish him well in this position.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Price.
