A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 40-59-145 SO AS TO EXEMPT FROM THE LICENSING AND OTHER REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENTIAL BUILDERS COMMISSION PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS AND INSTRUCTORS WHOSE CONTRACTING WORK IS PART OF A VOCATIONAL COURSE CURRICULUM.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Chapter 59, Title 40 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 40-59-145. The provisions of this chapter do not apply to public school students and instructors whose contracting work is part of a public school vocational course curriculum."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
