A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 40-60-30, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT A PERSON MUST OBTAIN A REGISTRATION LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE AS PROVIDED IN CHAPTER 60 OF TITLE 40 (REAL ESTATE APPRAISERS) BY DECEMBER 31, 1991, IN ORDER TO ENGAGE IN REAL ESTATE APPRAISAL ACTIVITY, SO AS TO EXTEND THE DATE TO DECEMBER 31, 1992.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 40-60-30(A) of the 1976 Code, as added by Act 12 of 1991, is amended to read:

"(A) Except as provided in Section 40-60-40, it is unlawful for a person to engage in real estate appraisal activity in this State After December, 1991 1992, without first obtaining a registration, license, or certification as provided in this chapter."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
