TO PROVIDE THAT, NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISION OF LAW OR ANY DECISION OF ANY COURT, THE GROSS PROCEEDS OF SALES, OR SALES PRICE, OF THE HOLY BIBLE ARE EXEMPTED FROM THE TAXES IMPOSED BY CHAPTER 36, TITLE 12, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976 (SALES TAX).
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law or any decision of any court, the gross proceeds of sales, or sales price, of the Holy Bible are exempted from the taxes imposed by Chapter 36, Title 12, of the 1976 Code of Laws.
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
