A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO COMMEND MS. RUBY COLLINS OF MARION COUNTY FOR WINNING THE "SKIPPY RIZER SOUTH CAROLINA HOMEMAKER OF THE YEAR" AWARD, WHICH WILL BE PRESENTED ON JUNE 10, 1992.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were delighted to learn that Ms. Ruby Collins of Marion County won the "Skippy Rizer South Carolina Homemaker of the Year" award, which will be presented on June 10, 1992; and

Whereas, Ms. Collins is an eighty-three year old retired teacher; and

Whereas, Ms. Collins has been a member for over sixty years of the Tranquil Extension Homemaker Club, a part of Clemson Extension, having helped organize the club and held every office; and

Whereas, she was a pioneer in getting electricity and telephones to rural Marion County; and

Whereas, Ms. Collins is involved in the United Methodist Women, Senior Saints Choir, Women's Christian Temperance Union, Council on Aging, and many other civic and community organizations. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly commend Ms. Ruby Collins of Marion County for winning the "Skippy Rizer South Carolina Homemaker of the Year" award, which will be presented on June 10, 1992.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Ms. Ruby Collins.
