A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT NO LEGISLATION ENACTED AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT REQUIRING THE OFFERING OF HEALTH CARE COVERAGE OR SERVICES APPLIES TO ANY INSURER UNLESS THE LEGISLATION APPLIES EQUALLY TO EMPLOYEE WELFARE BENEFIT PLANS UNDER FEDERAL LAW.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. No legislation enacted after the effective date of this act requiring the offering of health care coverage or services applies to any insurer unless the legislation applies equally to employee welfare benefit plans described in 29 U.S.C.A, Sect. 1001 et seq.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
