A BILL

TO AMEND CHAPTER 13, TITLE 8, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 8-13-625 SO AS TO REQUIRE ORGANIZATIONS AND ASSOCIATIONS USING THE NAME OF CERTIFIED POLITICAL PARTIES TO MAINTAIN AND DISCLOSE RECORDS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Chapter 13, Title 8 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 8-13-625. Any organization or association using the name of a certified political party, as provided in Section 7-9-10, shall maintain a record of all expenditures of all funds and contributions received, with the amount, recipient and purpose of each expenditure identified. A filing delineating the expenditures required under this section must be made annually during the month of June to the Secretary of State."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
