A BILL

TO PROVIDE THAT THE MEMBERS OF THE SPARTANBURG MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM COMMISSION MUST BE APPOINTED BY THE SPARTANBURG COUNTY COUNCIL PURSUANT TO SECTION 4-9-170 OF THE 1976 CODE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the members of the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium Commission must be appointed by the Spartanburg County Council pursuant to Section 4-9-170 of the 1976 Code, as appointments not provided for by general law, for which purposes the commission shall not be a special purpose district or political subdivision.

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
