A BILL

TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 43-5-68 SO AS TO PROHIBIT A FAMILY RECEIVING AID TO FAMILIES WITH DEPENDENT CHILDREN UNDER THIS ARTICLE TO RECEIVE AN INCREASE IN THIS ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE BIRTH OF ADDITIONAL CHILDREN INTO THE FAMILY.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 43-5-68. No family receiving Aid to Families with Dependent Children under this article may receive an increase in this assistance due to additional children being born into the family."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
