A HOUSE RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING REDCLIFFE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OF AIKEN COUNTY ON RECEIVING THE PRESTIGIOUS "NAEA PROGRAM STANDARDS AWARD" FROM THE NATIONAL ART EDUCATION ASSOCIATION.

Whereas, the board of directors of the National Art Education Association has announced that Redcliffe Elementary School of Aiken is the recipient of one of the most prestigious awards that an elementary, middle/junior, or senior high school art program can receive -- namely, the NAEA Program Standards Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in individual schools which meet or exceed nationally established standards in the "Purposes, Principles, and Standards for School Art Programs" booklet; and

Whereas, this award reflects excellence in education in South Carolina and Aiken County schools, and in Redcliffe Elementary School in particular, and is highly deserving of recognition. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the House of Representatives, by this resolution, congratulates Redcliffe Elementary School of Aiken County on receiving the prestigious "NAEA Program Standards Award" from the National Art Education Association.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the principal, faculty, staff, and students of Redcliffe Elementary School.
