TO AMEND SECTION 20-7-30, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO DEFINITIONS PERTAINING TO THE CHILDREN'S CODE, SO AS TO REVISE THE DEFINITION OF "CHILD".
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. Section 20-7-30(1) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"(1) `Child' means a person under the age of eighteen years, except `child' means a person under the age of seventeen years if he is incorrigible, beyond control of the parent, or a runaway."
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
