A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE SYMPATHY OF THE MEMBERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ON THE DEATH OF JOYCE KINLAW

OF MANNING, SOUTH CAROLINA, WHO DIED ON FEBRUARY 3, 1993.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Joyce Kinlaw who died on Wednesday, February 3, 1993; and

Whereas, Ms. Kinlaw was born in Manning and was the daughter of Johnny N. and Willine Carter Kinlaw; and

Whereas, Ms. Kinlaw, young, promising, vital, and vibrant in her place in this world, departed at the very young age of 28, much before her prime and with much left to give of herself to her family and her community; and

Whereas, Ms. Kinlaw, born into a family who for generations were devoted and dedicated to serving the community, had already demonstrated her commitment and devotion to carrying on this loving and giving tradition of her family; and

Whereas, Ms. Kinlaw, though young in years, was an outstanding individual who was highly regarded and loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by devoted family and her many friends; and

Whereas, we want her family and her many friends to know that our thoughts are with them and that they have our deepest sympathy. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

That the members of the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, express sorrow at the death of Ms. Joyce Kinlaw of Manning and extend their deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs Johnny N. Kinlaw, Route 5, Box 110, Manning, South Carolina, 29102.
