A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MCDUFFIE HIGH SCHOOL OF ANDERSON COUNTY ON WINNING THE 1993 CLASS AA BOYS BASKETBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, McDuffie High School of Anderson County has won the 1993 Class AA Boys Basketball State Championship; and

Whereas, the Scots of McDuffie High defeated a very fine Macedonia High School team 71-66 in Columbia to clinch the 1993 state title and thereby earned the Scots' first state championship trophy in school history; and

Whereas, Barney Brown, McDuffie High's head coach, guided the Scots to the pinnacle of success during the 1992-93 season; and

Whereas, the Scots of McDuffie High exhibited outstanding talent, hard work, determination, and unity in the season just completed and are highly deserving of recognition for their accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates McDuffie High School of Anderson County in winning the 1993 Class AA Boys Basketball State Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the McDuffie High School boys basketball team in care of Head Coach Barney Brown.
