A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING MR. RONALD K. BUFF, VOLUNTEER AT BAKER'S CHAPEL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN GREENVILLE, ON HIS SELECTION AS A WINNER IN THE NATIONAL OUTSTANDING SCHOOL VOLUNTEER AWARDS PROGRAM IN THE INTERGENERATIONAL VOLUNTEER CATEGORY, AND COMMENDING HIM FOR HIS DEDICATION TO SOUTH CAROLINA'S EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM.

Whereas, Mr. Ronald K. Buff of Greenville County has for approximately eight years volunteered his time, talents, and energy on a variety of projects in support of Baker's Chapel Elementary School in Greenville; and

Whereas, he recently was notified by the National Association of Partners in Education that he has been selected as a winner in the National Outstanding School Volunteer Awards Program, in the Intergenerational Volunteer category; and

Whereas, Mr. Buff has received national recognition for this award, and he has been congratulated and commended by the Governor of South Carolina; and

Whereas, he is an outstanding individual whose volunteer services have helped to make Baker's Chapel the great school it is; and

Whereas, the General Assembly is pleased to have this opportunity to recognize the contributions to public education of such an excellent volunteer and to express appreciation to Mr. Buff for all he has done. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates Mr. Ronald K. Buff, volunteer at Baker's Chapel Elementary School in Greenville, on his selection as a winner in the National Outstanding School Volunteer Awards Program in the Intergenerational Volunteer category and commends him for his dedication to South Carolina's educational system.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Buff and to Ms. Nancy Farnsworth, principal of Baker's Chapel Elementary School in Greenville.
