A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO CONGRATULATE THE TIMMONSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM ON WINNING THE 1993 STATE CLASS A CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the Timmonsville High School "Whirlwinds" Baseball Team beat out the Green Sea Floyds to win the Class A Championship; and

Whereas, the entire team rallied to win displaying phenomenal pitching and catching feats; and

Whereas, Senior Dale Strickland stepped in when the starter pitcher Rusty Alexander broke his foot and went on to pitch a two hitter game; and

Whereas, leftfielder Lang Keels displayed excellent agility in catching the balls that helped to keep the Green Sea Floyds "Trojans" at bay; and

Whereas, the team made no errors in the game, played good defense, and won. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the member of the House of Representatives congratulate the Timmonsville High School Baseball Team on winning the 1993 State Class A Championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Whirlwinds Baseball Team.
