A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE SYMPATHY OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF SOUTH CAROLINA TO THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF LAURA JAN JONES WATSON OF SPARTANBURG UPON HER UNTIMELY DEATH.

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly were saddened to learn of the death of Laura Jan Jones Watson of Spartanburg on May 21, 1994; and

Whereas, Laura Jan Jones Watson was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, a graduate of Newberry College, a physical therapist, and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg; and

Whereas, she is survived by her widower, William Andrew Watson; a son, Cole Anderson Watson; her mother, Sandra Zarillo Jones of Columbia; sisters, Julie and Marsha Jones of Columbia and Mary Jones Meeks of Florence; and her grandfather, Nick Sprague of Jersey City, New Jersey. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, expresses its deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the late Laura Jan Jones Watson of Spartanburg.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to William Andrew Watson.
