A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE LANDRUM HIGH SCHOOL LADY CARDINALS OF SPARTANBURG COUNTY ON WINNING THE CLASS A SOFTBALL STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1994.

Whereas, the Lady Cardinals of Landrum High School of Spartanburg County have won the Class A softball state championship for 1994; and

Whereas, the Lady Cardinals clinched the state title by defeating North High School by a score of 6-3; and

Whereas, Landrum High finished the season with an outstanding 25-3 overall record, which included a perfect 16-0 record in regional competition and a seventeen-game winning streak, all three of which reflect team records for the Lady Cardinals; and

Whereas, under the guidance and direction of Head Coach Hugh Waldrop, the Landrum softball team members exhibited excellent talent, hard work, dedication, and unity during 1994 and are highly deserving of recognition for their accomplishments. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Landrum High School Lady Cardinals of Spartanburg County on winning the Class A softball state championship for 1994.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Lady Cardinals softball team of Landrum High School, in care of Head Coach Hugh Waldrop.
