A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE THE ACADEMIC AND CIVIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF BOILING SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, CHRISTINA FLYNN.

Whereas, Christina Flynn is a high school senior at Boiling Springs High School in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, and

Whereas, Christina Flynn is the l994 Valedictorian of her graduating class; and

Whereas, Christina Flynn has received many academic honors during her high school career to include recognition as a l994 National Merit Finalist, l994 Presidential Academic Fitness Award, l994 Furman Scholar, l994 Wofford Scholar, l994 Duke Power Scholastic Excellence Award, l994 Wake Forest Honor Scholarship, l994 USC Honor College, l994 USC and Clemson Valedictorian Scholarships.

Whereas, Christina Flynn has been named to the Principal's Honor Roll for all four years of high school and has served on her school's newspaper staff, literary magazine, student council, yearbook, and academic team; and

Whereas, Christina Flynn is an active and contributing member of her church and its civic clubs serving in numerous roles as a Vacation Bible School worker and is indeed an example of a fine youth Christian role model. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the House of Representatives are indeed honored to recognize such an outstanding young Christian student for her academic and civic accomplishments to the Boiling Springs Community in Spartanburg County.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Christina Flynn and to the Boiling Springs High School.
